On another day...These photos show some views as we drive west on Sterling Highway and go south along the Cook Inlet to Homer, AK and the Homer Spit. The Kenai River runs along the Sterling Hwy. and empties into the Cook Inlet.
This State and Federal river bank rehabilitation project provided a beautiful wooden boardwalk with grated metal platforms and staircases for fishing and wading in the river, some with wheelchair access.
A great rock shop on the Stirling Highway.
Across the Cook Inlet, Mt. Redoubt can be seen from a beach in Ninilchik.
This photo at the end of Homer Spit shows many types of vessels going out of the Inlet to the Pacific.
Taking a break from fishing.
Can you see the rainbow in the mountain? We missed the rain but caught the rainbow!!!
