It is now June 8, three and a half weeks since we left home on May 15. The loose plan was to go across the bridge and take US Highway 2 all the way to
Kalispell, MT (which is located near the southwest corner of Glacier National Park). From our home to Kalispell it's 1500 miles, we did it in just under 3000 miles. The loose plan is now being called an outline.
Let me go to the beginning...
Our first campground ( 1st picture ) was Onaway State Park, MI on Black Lake, beautiful sunsets and giant white pines. While there we visited with David's relatives in Rogers City and Alpina. ( Uncle Don, we will call you from Alaska but it may take awhile. ) On May 19, we crossed the Mackinac Bridge and headed west on Hwy.2 We stopped at a beautiful rest area on Lake Michigan to walk on the shore, then as we sat in the truck looking over the map for possible campgrounds for later, we saw markers for 2 waterfalls on Hwy 40 that sounded good. That lead us to decide to see Lake Superior on more time before leaving MI. The waterfalls turned out to be some of the best we've ever seen, Bond Falls and Agate Falls. We then stayed at Porqupine Mountain Wilderness State Park and saw icebergs still on Lake Superior. (Pictures below are from the 'Porkies')

I will have to continue when I can charge the computer which will be when we are in Canada. As you can guess we are in very few places that have internet connections. Hope it will be soon though, Good Night
